Short-Form narrative
The founder of Butter + Love wanted a video narrative that showcased the backstory of the company for press, wholesalers, and individuals. I was the Executive Producer, Director, and oversaw the edit.
The video led to opportunities for Alison to share her story on the Whole Foods website as well as Martha Stewart's magazine .
“From the pre-shoot interview to the filming, Monica’s questions were insightful, helpful, and encouraging, especially in helping me focus my thoughts about my company, how I wanted it to be conveyed, and about what I was hoping to get out of this mini-movie. As a small business owner, my brain is full to the brim with a million-and-one things to be done, so having her artfully coach me through the process was incredibly useful, even with my background in acting! I felt like I was telling the story of Butter + Love to a friend, which made the process a pleasure. She also made sure my hair wasn’t sticking up awkwardly and my lipstick wasn’t smeared – thank God for Monica!”

On the day of the shoot, her team showed professionalism and expertise. When we needed last minute changes, she took every bit of feedback and incorporated it into the final product, all the while keeping up with a very quick turnaround time. We’ve seen tens of thousands of views on the video within a month of posting it with zero promotion.” iMediaShare App Founder

“For our potluck video, Monica managed the entire process. From storyboarding, to finding the right crew to shoot the video, to coordinating the locations, to directing our team (of non-actors), all the way through to the very last edit. The best part, she always took time to not just understand what we want to achieve and make sure that got translated into every aspect of the finished product.”

She was incredibly patient and insightful and always kept the energy extremely positive, which made us feel at ease being on camera. We couldn’t recommend her more!”

I was hired to direct and oversee the edit the video with the purpose of sharing the story of Broadway Bound Kids and inspiring the audience to take action by supporting the campaign.
“Monica was amazing to work with! She helped us shape the concept and story line for our video and had great questions for our celebrity guests. Her vision for the project and thoughtful notes throughout the edit process were directly in line with our company’s purpose and mission. The final outcome was even more beautiful that I could have imagined. ”

Tanya Cole-Lesnik is a life coach + psychotherapist who wanted a video to introduce herself and create a deeper connection to potential clients who might resonate with her story. I was hired to create an inspiring and personal short video for Tanya to share on the homepage of her new website.
I was the Executive Producer, Director, and oversaw the edit.
“When I was searching for someone to help me make a video for my website, I was so discouraged at first. I mostly found a lot of corporate-looking, boring videos that were not at all what I had in mind. I wanted a video that would tell a story and help me connect to whoever took the time to watch it. I was so excited when I came across Monica. From our first Skype chat I knew I was in good hands. She got me, she got the process, and I knew she was going to make a great little movie. She did an awesome job directing me, making sure we had the footage we needed, and that the story flowed. Now I have an amazing video that I’m proud to share. Monica offers a much-needed service!”
