Monica McCarthy is an award-winning writer, director, and actress from NYC and LA who now resides in Sligo, Ireland. Monica wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Survival Job, a dark comedic short film and proof-of-concept won numerous awards on the festival circuit across the country and internationally. Monica’s first short film script that she co-created and starred in with Emmy award-winning producer, Erin Glass titled Alex & Sam’s Mix-Tape was shot entirely on an iPhone with an all-female cast and crew in quarantine in Michigan. Monica previously founded the boutique video production company Show & Tell Stories in NYC, which focused on doc-shorts and commercials.

Selected to participate in the Modern Director’s Weekend Intensive in Cork with Brendan Canty, hosted by the National Talent Academy of Ireland.
Received a grant by the Sligo Arts Council to direct several short videos about Shakespeare.

COMMERCIAL
iMediashare is a smartphone app aimed at tech savvy users in the 20s-30s demographic. The purpose of the app is to make sharing photos and videos as easy as "the touch of a button." Monica was hired to create a commercial that was funny and showcased the features of iMediashare for both users and investors.
The video was featured on the homepage of the iMediashare website and has garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube without any promotion.
